Kool-Stop disc brake pads are made of organic materials bonded together with a resin. The compounds contain small amounts of metal to enhance the braking formula, but the pads are largely organic. They can also be described as semi-metallic. Our tests have shown that our disc brake pads are rotor-friendly and provide high braking performance throughout the pad's lifespan.
