Pro-Tect Chain Lock Flint ART 1

The Pro-tect Flint is a 90 cm long chain lock with ART 1 certification. This ART 1 certification makes the Flint ideal as a secondary lock for more expensive bicycles, such as cargo bikes and e-bikes. Weighing just 1235 grams, the Flint offers maximum security with minimal weight. The chain lock's links also feature a soft textile cover to prevent damage to the frame's paintwork. Furthermore, the lock head has a sliding cover that prevents dirt and moisture from entering the cylinder.

The ART 1 strength (security) level is comparable to the European standard for bicycle locks EN 15496. (Dutch) bicycle theft insurers therefore regard an ART 1 approved lock as the minimum security level with which an e-bike or cargo bike must be locked to a fixed object when an additional (2nd) security lock is required.
