This U/UTP CAT5e network cable is an affordable and functional choice for standard network applications such as internet, IP telephony, and CCTV. The cable meets CAT5e specifications and supports transfer speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s at a frequency of 100 MHz, for a maximum cable length of 100 meters. This cable comes with a 5-year warranty.
The conductors of this cable consist of 28/7 CCA wire. This means that each conductor is made up of 28 thin wires, each 0.12 mm thick, twisted together into a single flexible bundle – equivalent in thickness to 24 AWG (American Wire Gauge). The material used is CCA (Copper Clad Aluminium): an aluminium core with a thin layer of copper. This type of conductor is lighter and cheaper than solid copper variants, and offers sufficient performance for basic network traffic.
Please note: due to the higher resistance of aluminium compared to copper, this cable is less suitable for Power over Ethernet (PoE), longer lengths, or installations where minimal signal distortion is required. For professional or critical applications, a 100% copper cable is recommended.
The outer jacket is made of flexible PVC, making the cable easy to handle during indoor installation. This cable is not halogen-free (not LSZH) and is therefore not suitable for public buildings or environments with elevated fire safety requirements.
