Cut the EPDM Membrane 10 cm to 20 cm longer than the length of the respective façade element (e.g., window frame). This allows 5 cm to 10 cm on both sides to overlap the corners. The film can be attached to the façade element with Soudaseal EPDM or by means of mechanical fastening (a pressure strip, clamping strip, etc.). Start at the bottom of the building element and work upwards for good drainage. After installing the façade element, fill the connection with the shell with a suitable PU foam (e.g., Flexifoam). After the foam has cured (and possibly been trimmed), the EPDM Membrane is glued to the shell on the shell side with Soudaseal EPDM. For this, apply a 5 to 6 mm thick and continuous (= airtight!) bead of glue. Calculate +/- 1 bead of glue per 5 cm EPDM width. Stick the film, not too tightly, onto the shell to absorb any movements between the different building elements, but avoid folds. Then press the film evenly with a pressure roller to create a 1 to 2 mm thick adhesive layer of approx. 25 mm wide. This provides sufficient adhesion surface and allows the adhesive to cure properly. The overlapping parts of the EPDM Membrane (e.g., in the corners) must be glued using Soudaseal EPDM. The bond is only load-bearing after the adhesive has fully cured. Consult the technical data sheet of the adhesive for this.
